We hold various special events in the gallery, cafe and in the gardens at Galanthus – including themed dinners, lively evening meals with music, celebratory lunches, holiday activities and garden walks. See below for the events we have planned in the near future.
Unless otherwise stated, events in the Galanthus garden run from 10am-4.30pm. See Garden page for planned garden events.
Galanthus offers meeting rooms to hire for corporate or club meetings, talks and practical workshops on any day of the week. Bright, airy and well facilitated, we can provide a casual buffet, set menu or just snacks and beverages depending on your requirements.

Botanical drawing with Mary Brewin

Mary Brewin is a tutor for a Botanical Art Group and Member of the Institute of Analytical Plant Illustrators. These informal workshops will provide the first steps in botanical painting, whilst one-to-one coaching will be provided during the practice sessions. Coffee/tea £1.00, Soup & bread £4.25, lemon/Victoria sponge cake £2.20 slice.

These informal workshops will include demonstrations of and practice on a number of subjects, including flowers, birds, animals and landscapes. One-to-one coaching will be provided during the practice sessions. Materials such as brushes and inks will be available for beginners; there will also be a few available to buy, or they can be ordered. Cost £20
