New Year Exhibition

Saturday 13 January 2007 – Tuesday 20 February 2007

Paul, widely known for his skilful watercolour panoramas, has recently transposed the same intensity and engagement with surrounding into his energetic oil painting, which employ wide brush marks and thick viscose paint. Charles Shearers' mixed media land and cityscapes employ a combination of ink, gouache, wax resist, and printing and stencilling techniques to beautifully illustrate a process of ageing, wear and decay, and capture both time and place. Jonathan Phillips' Hamanda inspired oriental pottery takes more than just inspiration from the landscape; locally collected clays and ashes are incorporated into his glaze recipes to create colours that echo the vibrancy of the landscape.
